The Original Edition of “The Secret”

March 28th, 2008

“The Secret”, which most are familiar with, is the “extended” edition. However, the “extended” edition, is what I like to call the “cut & obscured” edition.

The story of how “The Secret” came into being was that the producer of the film, Rhonda Byrne, who was the woman at the beginning of the film, received a book from her daughter which taught what she is calling “the secret”. This book is called “The Science of Getting Rich” by Wallace D. Wattles. It was written in 1910. When she decided to make the film, she sought out teachers alive today, who were teaching the law of attraction (the “secret”). The first teacher she found was Esther Hicks, and the basis of the film was to be on her teachings, with the other teachers adding to that basis. Hence ”The Secret” (the original edition) was made.

However, a second edition of the film was released in which Esther’s part was entirely cut out of the film. They called this the “extended” edition, and that is the popular edition that is on sale today. Esther has a statement about her being cut out of the film here:

Having now seen the original edition of the film, it is clearer and easier to understand than the popular “extended” edition. The original edition is just below, in it’s entirety. It is in English with Hebrew subtitles.
